“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
“What the caterpillar calls the end the rest of the world calls a butterfly.”
“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.”
~Vincent van Gogh~
Celebrating the days of small beginnings as a freelance makeup artist, before becoming an entrepreneur. This is my sister at her traditional and white wedding, April 2009. I can boldly say, “Look at me now!” “See how far I have come!”
I took that bold first step to becoming a professional makeup artist, owning my own makeup studio and training school. Trust me, it’s been a bumpy road. I have fallen down one too many times than I can count. I have made bad business decisions but also, I have had lots of victories, lots of good times and lot’s of good business decisions.
I have grown! I am still growing! I have improved in my makeup skills, attended seminars and workshop and learnt alot. Now I teach people how to take that first step. Don’t be scared. Believe in yourself. Have faith in God that He will see you through. And when you fall, I mean fall so bad, cry, scream, shout but get back up and pick up from where you left off and keep moving. Whatever you do, keep moving!
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to
see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
~Martin Luther King Jr.~
