The Makeup Show New York Reflection: my “Makeup for the Soul” experience!

The Makeup Show Chicago has just ended and it just kind made me nostalgic of The Makeup Show in New York which was held this year at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Sometimes I still pinch myself that I ACTUALLY attended! It was a life changing experience which has taken my career to the next level! I have written about my first few days of being in New York and attending the Gala event but I never talked about the show!

The first day of the show, May 4th which was on Sunday, I got to the venue at about 8:20am. The queue outside was building up already! Boy! We finally got in at some few minutes past 9am and my first stop was Inglot! Boy o Boy! Come see crazy shoppers!

I had to depend on the Holy Spirit’s guidance o! And He helped me! So I wasn’t confused- Thank you Holy Spirit! You were and still are amazing. I stopped by Crown Brushes, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC), Bdellium Tools, Temptu Pro, Zuca, Mac Pro, Nigel’s Beauty, Makeup Forever, Hakuhhodo Brushes, Motives, Make Up Forever, Anastasia Beverly Hills. And then I attended Buntricia Bastian’s class: Hi Def Bridal Makeup @ 3pm and after that continued my tour and left for home at 6pm.

The next day, May 5th, I started out looking for the lip tars I had purchased from OCC the day before! Worth almost $200, I couldn’t find them when I got home! I got to the venue very early, and guess what? I found them at Nigel’s stand! God gave me a testimony! They found it under the table and kept it for me. I also found my missing diary! Then I went straight for Danessa Myricks class (Makeup for High Intensity). I got a bank of wisdom from this class!

I’m looking forward to The Makeup Show next year! You never stop learning but most importantly these kind of shows offer great networking opportunities and education. Make it a goal to always seek out opportunities that provide teachable moments that adds to your life and your career.

Enough said! phew! Thank you for reading Please enjoy the pictures and don’t forget to drop your comments, I promise to do a double flip when you do. Lol.

Till the next bolt of my pen, stay Be-U-tifull ♥♥♥
