Audrey Hepburn: the Humanitarian, Beauty Icon & Lover of Pink

Tribute to a film and fashion icon.

Today, Audrey would have been 85 years old. Born 4th May 1929, she was a British actress and humanitarian. She appeared in fewer films as her life went on, devoting much of her later life to UNICEF. Although contributing to the organisation since 1954, she worked in some of the most profoundly disadvantaged communities of Africa, South America and Asia between 1988 and 1992. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 1992.

One of her most famous movies was Breakfast in Tiffany. She died on the 20th January 1993 😦

A Tribute to the Fashion Icon and an admirable humanitarian.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.

Why change? Everyone has his own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it.

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
